The department of Physical Education came into existence in the year 1990 under the flagship of Dr B R Ambedkar University. To produce quality physical education teachers and imparting quality knowledge in the subject, the department facilitates a harmonious and stimulated academic environment. Initially conducting post graduate courses, the department also offers Bachelor of Physical Education (B P Ed / B P E) of three years duration along with Diploma programme in Yoga Education (D Y Ed). It also provides excellent opportunities to the faculty and students of the department for their self evaluation and innovation in several areas of physical education.
